August 2011

  • A research paper by Madrillon staff entitled "An Evaluation of the Mind-body Interactions and Health Program: Assessing the Impact of an NIH Program Using the Payback Framework" was accepted for publication in the journal Research Evaluation. This paper will appear in a special September issue of the journal focusing on Research Impact Assessment: State of the Art.

July 2011

  • The Madrillon staff abstract was accepted for presentation at the American Evaluation Association annual meeting. Dr. Jack. E. Scott will present a paper entitled "Putting a Value on Biomedical Research Center Programs: Adapting the Research Payback Framework for Application in the United States" at the 2011 meeting of the American Evaluation Association, to be held November 2-5. This paper will be part of the Session: Tests of Two Frameworks for Evaluating the Impact of Health Research, and will present results from the Mind-Body Interactions and Health Program Outcome Evaluation which applied the Research Payback Framework as a conceptual model.

March 2011

  • Madrillon Research Featured at UK Workshop! Dr. Jack Scott, Madrillon Vice President for Evaluation, has been invited to present a paper on "An Evaluation of the Mind-Body Interactions and Health Program: Assessing the Impact of an NIH Program Using the Research Payback Framework" at a workshop sponsored by the Health Economics Research Group at Brunel University, London, UK on March 31-April 1, 2011. The workshop will focus on state-of-the-art conceptual frameworks and methods for assessing the impact of research programs.
  • The Madrillon Group was awarded a project from NICHD to assess the level and depth of content information desired by actual and potential users of the NICHD website.
  • The Madrillon Group was awarded a project from NICHD to design a study to assess how Data Coordinating Centers (DCCs) are best supporting its research programs and to inform how the NICHD manages DCCs in the future.
